Lower School embraces the Holiday Season and Traditions

Every country has holidays that are nationally or culturally important - typically centering on religious festivals, historical traditions and important events in their history. As the holiday season quickly approaches, our teachers will use this time to recognize and provide information to our students about the many different holidays and cultural traditions for the students in their class and our school community at large. Our focus is on how and when the holidays are celebrated, their origins, histories and generally agreed-upon meanings. Our approach is objective and sensitive, neither promoting or inhibiting the various religions, but fostering an understanding and mutual respect for the differences in beliefs. If you would like to share one of your family traditions with your child’s class, please reach out to your teacher.  ~ Melissa Fagan, Lower School Director
