All applications to our Lam Tin campus require a non-refundable and non-transferable assessment fee of HK$3,000. There is no assessment fee for our pre-school campuses.
Please consider that we receive many more applications than we have places for. As the fee is non-refundable, we do encourage you to contact us to check availability in your child's year group.
Once we receive your Application Form and the supporting documents, our Admissions Manager will email you to confirm receipt of your application and to advise you of the next steps.
These next steps will depend on (i) the year for which you are applying and (ii) your requested start date.
Assessments for Nursery, Lower Kindergarten, Upper Kindergarten and Year 1 spaces take place in November to February of the year for which you are applying (ie. if you are applying to start in August 2020, assessments will take place in Nov 2019/Feb 2020). The school also accepts applications on a rolling basis after this main intake.
Please note that, as siblings of children already in our school have priority, these children assessments will take place in Oct/Nov (ie.Oct/Nov of 2019 for August 2020 starters).
Assessments for other years (Years 2 to 10) take place, on a rolling basis, as and when a place becomes available. Our Admissions Manager will be in contact with you.
Your application and assessment will be reviewed by a member of our Senior Leadership Team, headed by our Principal. The final decision to offer a place is based on your child's application, assessment and their level of priority on our waitlists.
Once a decision is made, you will be notified by our Admissions Team by email. This email will include: (i) an Offer of Place, (ii) Enrolment Acceptance Letter and (ii) an invoice for a non-refundable, non-transferable Capital Enrolment Fee (details below).
Capital Enrolment Fee
Should we offer your child a place, this non-refundable, non-transferable fee of HK$100,000 is payable within 10 working days to confirm your acceptance and guarantee the place.
|If payments are settled by bank transfer, the remitter must pay for all charges incurred by both the remitting bank and the beneficiary bank so that fees are received in full. Please send a copy of your bank transfer receipt so that we can match your payment against your child.
For the Academic Year 2019-20, annual tuition fees are as follows for Nursery, Lower and Upper Kindergarten at our Early Years campuses:
- Nursery Morning Session (age 3): HK$ 114,000
- Nursery Afternoon Session (age 3): HK$ 81,000
- Lower Kindergarten Morning Session (age 4): HK$ 75,000
- Lower Kindergarten Afternoon Session (age 4): HK$ 75,000
- Upper Kindergarten Morning Session (age 5): HK$ 81,500
- Upper Kindergarten Afternoon Session (age 5): HK$ 81,500
For the Academic Year 2019-20, annual tuition fees at Lam Tin are HK$163,000 (Primary) and HK$182,000 (Secondary). Please also note we offer a tuition fee discount for the third sibling (a 5% discount) and for the fourth sibling (a 10% discount).
Tuition fees cover all books, stationery and learning materials. Tuition fees do not cover the cost of some Extra-Curricular Activities (we offer free and fee-based ECAs), annual camp, uniforms, school bus or meals.
*Subject to receipt of customary regulatory approval. Fees are reviewed on an annual basis.
Public exam fees are not covered by annual school fees as not everyone subscribes to the same programme or subject. As a guideline, these include:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma or Certificate – Year 13
- Cambridge IGCSE fees – Year 10 and/or Year 11
The above list is not exclusive. Occasionally invoices will be issued at times other than mentioned above to cover retake examinations, entrance exam fees and other necessities.
Notice of intention to withdraw your child
If you intend to withdraw your child from our school, please note that we require three full school calendar months' written notice in the academic year. This is exclusive of Summer holidays. Please note that “calendar month” means a complete month, ie. 1st to the last day of the month.
- If you give notice of intention to withdraw your child on 31 August, the school will require tuition fees for the months of September, October and November.
- If you give notice on 1 September, the school will require tuition fees for the months of October, November and December.
