Parent Update - 3 June 2016

03 June 2016

Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful evening yesterday welcoming the parents of our new Year 1 students, who will be starting with us on 22 August. There were lots of familiar faces in the Hall as more than 50 of our new Year 1s are siblings of our current students. It's lovely to be bringing families together in our (no-longer-so-new) school!

From today, I'm including all our new parents in our weekly Parent Update. Welcome to our 60+ new families who will be joining us!

I’m also sharing an interview with our very own Head of Year 1, Mrs Malone, who has hit the headlines of our Nord Anglia-wide website in a new “Meet the Teacher feature.

From 24 to 31 May, our Knights competed in the COBIS Primary Games in Kazakhstan against 15 other international schools. Our valient team of Year 5s and 6s were Nicole Chan, Charlie Dier, Zane Freeman, Aaron Hal, Sam Hellyer, Luke Incledon, Maya and Tala Kamhawi, Tina Ma, Freya Mackness, Ihsan Mathani, Alice Stevenson, Brendan Wang and Jessica Wong.

These are the kind of experiences that we feel are so important for our students. It's not only about competing and winning, its about developing independence and team leadership skills. Thank you to the parents who joined our teachers, Miss Byrne, Mr Pate, Mr Reid and Miss Kenny, in supporting our teams. Next year ... the UK!

GALA DINNER – Thank you to our PTA for all their hard work!

Have a lovely evening tomorrow, and enjoy the amazing pieces of art that all our students have worked on this term. An incredible amount of work has gone into organising this evening, so can we again remember to thank our volunteers on the PTA. We're all looking forward to the photos!

Our Finance Team has now finalised the schedule of payments for tuition fees. Your current direct debit will roll-over to the next academic year, unless you have set an expiry date.

Similar to last year, your tuition fees will be drawn down on the first working day of each month, except for August and September. These are payable in one lump sum on 19 August. If you have any questions, please email our Finance Team at finance@nais.hk

Happy weekend everyone. It looks like a hot one!
