Ms. K. Griffin

Head of Nursery (Tai Tam) & Nursery Class Teacher: A - Ladybirds

After completing an Early Years PGCE at Oxford Brookes University, Miss. Griffin moved to London and taught in a reception class in Brixton for 4 years, as well as being the curriculum leader for environment and community. During this time she started a school ‘green team’, established new school recycling policies and created a reception garden area, growing vegetables and herbs.

Having had experience working with children from many different nationalities and languages, I strongly value the importance of communication and language. I ensure that planning is engaging and practical, allowing the children to have hands on experiences. My aim for children leaving reception, entering into Year 1 is that they are as confident and independent as possible.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, going to the theatre and concerts and travelling. I am very much looking forward to everything that Hong Kong has to offer!
