Mrs. S. Kay

S. Kay

5C Class Teacher

Mrs Kay graduated from the University of Birmingham with a B.A. (Hons) in Hispanic Studies and completed a PGCE at St. Martin’s Lancaster.

After 2 years of teaching in a state school in the UK, I decided to move abroad and start my career in the international sector where Beijing was my first stop. I was a Year 2, 3 and 6 teacher at Dulwich College Beijing before moving to Hong Kong where I worked at Harrow International School for 4 years in both Year 3 and 5.  At both Dulwich and Harrow, I was the Mathematics Co-ordinator for the Lower School. I am a very passionate and dedicated teacher whose philosophy is to encourage children to step beyond their comfort zone and challenge themselves to take risks and to learn from them. I also really cherish the pastoral responsibility of being a class teacher and helping children to develop their soft skills and leadership in different capacities.

Outside of teaching, I am a mother to my 18 month twins and married to a Science teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy running and keeping fit, cooking and photography.
