E. McGinty

Head of Year 1 and Year 1 Class Teacher: A - Alligators

Miss McGinty graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education in 2011. She taught in the UK for 2 years before moving into international teaching in Qatar where she spent a further 5 years. Most recently, she has worked as a Deputy Head of an infants school. Emma joins us as a Year 1 teacher in Sai Kung.

I have lived and worked in Qatar for the past five years and during this time, I have been in a variety of roles in my school. For the past two years, I have worked as a Deputy Head of our Infant school. I have loved this role as it has allowed me to work alongside students and staff throughout our school and I have found it a very valuable experience.

In my spare time, I love being active and enjoy playing sports and hiking. I cannot wait to explore Hong Kong! I also love cooking, travelling and experiencing different countries and cultures. I am extremely excited for my move and cannot wait to meet my new class!
