Miss Day holds a degree in Early Childhood Studies from The University of the West of England. After graduating, she worked as a teaching assistant in Bristol before completing her Early Years PGCE at Bath Spa University. Miss Day then moved to London where she began her teaching career. Now in her fifth year at Nord Anglia Hong Kong, she has joined the Tai Tam campus to return to her passion of Early Years teaching. Previously, she has taught in Lam Tin in Key Stage 1 and spent two years as Head of Year 2.
Miss Day is passionate about the Early Years and finds it extremely rewarding to be part of the initial stages of a child’s educational journey. In her classroom, she strives to create a safe and nurturing learning environment where children can take risks, acquire new skills and develop in confidence. Miss Day is always keen to collaborate with and learn from others, sharing ideas to develop exciting and effective ways to inspire learning through play, in fun and meaningful ways.
While she is not in school, Miss Day can usually be found on one of the many hiking trails around Hong Kong. She loves to be outdoors when the sun is shining and also enjoys exploring Hong Kong’s outlying islands and hidden beaches.
