Head of Year 1 and Year 1 Class Teacher: B - Barn Owls
After graduating from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2007, Mrs. Williams taught in several schools across South Wales. In 2011, she moved to the Nord Anglia British International School of Charlotte, USA where she led STEAM and was given the exciting opportunity to attend the teacher professional development week at MIT. She then moved to Hong Kong in 2017 and was part of the founding teaching team at the Tai Tam Campus. She is currently studying for a Masters in Early Childhood Education with the University of Sheffield.

Year 1 Class Teacher: C - Cranes
Mrs. Atkinson completed a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Leeds after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Childhood, Education and Culture also from the same institution. Following her graduation she worked in a range of inner city schools in both Leeds and Manchester. Whilst working in her previous school she developed a keen interest in history through working with English Heritage to develop a range of projects which resulted in displays in local museums.
Year 1 Class Teacher: A - Adelie Penguins
Miss Lowe holds a double degree in Education, specialising in Early Childhood Education, and Human Services from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. During her time at university Miss Lowe studied abroad in the USA at Virginia Tech as an international student, this began Miss Lowe’s love of travelling and exploring new countries and cultures.
Year 1 Class Teacher: D - Doves
Ms McElevey joins NAIS from Surrey, UK with a BA Hons in Primary Education from St Mary’s University Twickenham. Before moving to Hong Kong she taught in the UK for 4 years in both Key Stage 1 and 2, holding positions of responsibility as Math’s Coordinator and Forest School Leader. Keen to progress her career further and give herself a new challenge, she accepted a position at an international school in Beijing, China where she taught both Year 2 and 3. Her committed approach enabled her to take on the role of Literacy and Phonics Coordinator and Student Council Teacher Representative to name a few.
