IBDP Co-ordinator & History Teacher

Miss Simpson holds a BA (hons) degree in Social and Economic History from Manchester Metropolitan University, a PGCE from Liverpool University, as well as a TEFL certificate. She has taught internationally for over 20 years.  Miss Simpson has held several middle and senior leadership positions; however, she is never happier than when in the classroom.

Miss Simpson has been fortunate enough to be a coordinator of the IB diploma programme on prior occasions, before taking up the position at NAIS HK. She has also led a school through authorisation. She is passionate about the diploma programme and very much enjoys challenging students to be independent, open-minded, global citizens.

Outside of school, Miss Simpson enjoys outdoor activities, she has in the past run the Hangzhou and Seville half-marathons, however now enjoys hiking, jogging and cycling. She is an avid Liverpool football fan, as well as taking a keen interest in most sports. As her resume highlights, she also enjoys travelling.
