Ms. S. Jones

She continued to study in Lancaster, and attended the University of Cumbria, where she was awarded her PGCE in 2008. Ms Jones has been teaching since 2008, spending five years working in the United Kingdom, and seven years working as a teacher internationally.
In 2008 Ms Jones began her career as a History teacher in the north of England, spending five years working in two challenging schools which pushed her to develop both her behaviour management and teaching and learning styles. Alongside teaching History, she was lucky enough to teach Geography, Religious Studies and Psychology to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. After five years, Ms Jones and her partner decided it was time to combine their passion for travelling with their love of teaching, and they moved to Pattaya, Thailand. She taught in Pattaya for three years, working as the Head of History in the Nord Anglia school; Regents International School. After three years teaching History and Psychology in Thailand, she became fascinated by Chinese culture and so decided to move to Guangzhou. In Guangzhou she worked in her second Nord Anglia school, the British International School Guangzhou, as the Head of Year 11 and as a History and Psychology teacher. She then moved to Hong Kong, where she worked for two years in Creative Secondary School as the Head of History, teaching the MYP and History IBDP, and in 2019 she joined Nord Anglia International school.
Her favourite thing to do in her spare time is travel. She has travelled to 44 countries, 4 different continents and has visited 5 of the 6 modern ‘Wonders of the World’. She loves meeting new people, trying new foods, and learning about new cultures. Whilst in Hong Kong she loves to hike, visit different cycling routes and attend the theatre.
