Dear Parents,
What a creative, busy, and fun-filled week it has been across our Campus! Thank you for the encouragement you provide at home—your partnership truly helps our children grow in confidence and curiosity.
Learning Spotlight: Toys—Past and Present + Tinker Lab
Our Year 1 learners have been exploring and comparing toys from the past and the present, discussing how play has changed over time. Children noticed differences in materials (wood, metal, fabric and plastics), mechanisms (pull, wind-up, push, electronic), and design (handmade vs. factory-made), all while considering what makes a toy fun, safe, and durable.
In the Tinker Lab, children took these ideas further by designing and making their own toys. Many chose to sew felt hand puppets, carefully joining templates and adding features. We were delighted by a parade of characters—cats, rabbits, teddy bears, and many more! The children practised fine-motor skills, planning and sequencing (“first, next, then”), and reflective thinking (“What will I change to make it stronger?”). During Busy Learning, a group decided to collaborate on a puppet show—inviting friends to watch and join in. This has sparked rich language, turn-taking, and imaginative play.

Reception – Dolphin Class at Wild Explorers
Our Reception Dolphin class had an amazing time at Wild Explorers last week, as they learnt all about knot tying. Building on our sessions about fire safety, the children worked with Ms. Lewsey to safely build and light a small fire—learning about clear boundaries, adult supervision, safe distances, and the importance of respecting nature. They then enjoyed the sweetest reward for their teamwork and care: toasting marshmallows together at the end of the session.
It was a precious, memory-making moment—full of wonder, responsibility, and community spirit. We are so proud of how thoughtfully the children approached this hands-on learning.

Early Years Sports Day (Nursery & Reception) – Friday 13th (Morning)
We are getting excited for our Early Years Sports Day this Friday morning for Nursery and Reception. Children have been practising in PE and are eager to show you their growing skills in balance, coordination, teamwork, and cheering on friends.
Parent–Teacher Conferences – Next Week
Next week we look forward to connecting with you for Parent–Teacher Conferences. These conversations are invaluable for:
We deeply value our home–school partnership; your insights help us tailor learning so your child can flourish. If you have not booked yet, please click HERE and follow the instructions.
Enrichment Week & Community Celebration – Final Week before Easter
Our final week before the Easter break is Enrichment Week—a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and community.
If your child has a skill or talent they would like to share—singing, dancing, musical instruments, karate or other hobbies—please post a short video of their fabulous talent to our Padlet. We can’t wait to celebrate the many talents across our community.
To round off Enrichment Week, we invite all families to join us at 10:30am on Friday 27th for a Family Picnic and “Sai Kung Showcase.” For those who joined last year, you’ll remember what a memorable time it was—this year promises to be just as special.
Picnic tips: Bring a blanket, simple finger foods, water, and lots of smiles. If you can’t make it, a relative or caregiver (Auntie) is warmly welcome to attend with your child.
