Music Teacher, Caernarfon C House Tutor
Mr Anderson has pursued a career in music education and performance from an early age. After completing his BMus Honours Degree in performance at the Royal College of Music and a PGDE in Secondary Music Education at the University of Strathclyde, he has worked in various educational establishments and schools across Scotland, before joining the team at NAIS HK in January 2020.
His passion as a teacher is in sharing his belief that every child can not only enjoy making music, but that with time, enthusiasm and guidance, they all have the ability to become incredible musicians in their own right. The creation of new music is central to Mr Anderson’s teaching practice, as it enables every child to take ownership of their learning and have pride in their achievements.
Outside of school, Mr Anderson has many interests such as baking, climbing, tabletop gaming and more recently, windsurfing. He also greatly enjoys the opportunity to perform with musical ensembles and orchestras, and has been lucky enough to be conducted by the legendary Bernard Haitink in concert!
