High School Clubs & Trips

In High School, students will develop their awareness and appreciation for the world beyond school.

Class Trips

At the beginning of the 9th grade year, students travel to Camp Cho Yeh for a freshman retreat which includes team building and self reflection.

In addition to the freshman retreat, students travel to Big Bend National Park, for a physically challenging adventure of wilderness living, including a 9-mile hike to the top of Emory Peak, as well as personal discovery, including a friendship circle.

The 10th Grade students experience a service-focused, cultural and educational trip whether to Puerto Rico or to the beautiful Grand Canyon. This year students will travel to an Indian Reservation and learn about their culture and customs. The students will also be exploring the Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and much more.

11th Grade students travel to the Teton Science School where they learn about the fire & glacier ecology, art & ecology while also hiking and team building.  On this trip, students will be able to work on their Group 4 International Baccalaureate projects through their field research.

Students will develop an awareness, appreciation and stewardship for local and global place. The goal is for students to gain a greater sense of self, work constructively with others, take initiative, and build scientific literacy to inform personal decision making in social, economic, and ecological systems of place.

Seniors end the year in a culminating journey to Camp Cho Yeh where they reflect upon their time at The Village School and enjoy their last moments before graduating.
