Our entire school community is proud to share our students at ICS achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
For the 2020/21 academic school year, ICS students achieved a pass rate of 100%. 83 candidates entered for the full Diploma with an Average Diploma Score of 37 out of 45 points. This compares very favourably with the global average of 33 points. In addition, 26% of these passing Diplomas were on or above the 40 point mark with the highest score being 45 points. This result also showcases the difference that Nord Anglia Education schools bring to students’ academic results.
Head of Secondary Mr Barry Hughes said, “In offering our congratulations it is important to note that ICS is an open entry school where the IB Diploma is offered in Grades 11 and 12. The vast majority of our students take this very demanding IB programme where it is only available as an option in many schools. The performance of our students was very pleasing, with many remarkable individual accomplishments at all levels of the Diploma Score spectrum. These results are a testament to the hard work of both teachers and students as well as the strength of the IB Diploma programme at ICS”.
We are delighted to announce that 22 students from our school achieved 40 points and above. This is the level of attainment required to gain admission to the world's elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford. In addition, we would like to highlight how Natasha Huibers received a perfect score of 45 points!
