About
Mrs Johnson is currently in her 18th year of teaching. Prior to her move to Yangon, she taught at an International School in Thailand and then at our sister schools in Manila and Kuala Lumpur, where she was a member of their Senior Leadership Teams.
Corrie was incredibly excited to join the Yangon staff in January 2015 as she enjoys the challenges of a start-up school and being part of an inaugural team.
She has taught classes across the EYFS and Primary ages as well as delivering English Support to secondary students and piano tuition as part of the primary IMPs team.
Corrie enjoys teaching ICT and worked as an IT coordinator, specifically focussing on developing the use of iPads to facilitate learning. She believes that student self-reflection or receiving feedback from peers, parents and teachers when blogging their work promotes confidence and independence and has developed links between home and school through the use of Google Drive and Seesaw.
Corrie finds teaching children of different nationalities to be a real highlight of her job and her favourite school event in the BSY calendar is International Day. In the UK she taught in schools across Yorkshire, where she is originally from, and at an outstanding school in Surrey. Corrie enjoys travelling, singing and playing the piano in her spare time.
