Deputy Head of Primary/Year 5 Class Teacher

Following the completion of a Marine Biology degree at Plymouth University, Greg pursued a career in teaching, using the PGCE route of training at Southampton University. The last 19 years of his teaching career have seen him be a Key Stage/Year Leader and Deputy Headteacher.

I was born and raised on the Isle of Wight, a small island off the south coast of the UK. My passion for teaching, or certainly the seeds of it, came from my grandmother who became a teacher later in her life. Stories of the challenges but more importantly the rewards she conveyed to me were never forgotten. Being a teacher is one of the ultimate privileges: to be in a position where you can shape, inspire and guide the next generation. My philosophy is very much planted in the holistic approach where we nurture not just the academic but the individual as a whole, playing the ‘long game’ of preparing the youth of today for a world of the future

I love travelling and experiencing new cultures/traditions. Tennis and athletics are big passions in my life, as well as animal welfare. I will be looking to join a tennis club as soon as I arrive and see where I could help animal charities in Manila. Finally, cooking has been and continues to be a hobby. I love trying new cuisines and I know that the Philippines has a great reputation! I’m really looking forward to becoming part of the NAIS Manila family.
