Year 4 Teacher

Sophie holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and a PGCE from the University of Birmingham.

Working with children was something I always want to do, but I only discovered a passion for teaching after a fortunate offer of employment as a teaching assistant in a Year 1 class in Australia eight years ago.

Three years ago, after teaching in the UK for a number of years, I decided to combine my love of traveling and teaching and came to the Philippines. Being a primary teacher means I get to teach a wide variety of subjects, though I am particularly passionate about English, Art and History and I love taking my students on a journey back in time.

Outside of school, you'll find me either in the gym or in the kitchen! I feel so lucky to live in a part of the world so close to so many tropical islands and possibilities of adventure.
