I began my professional career as a design engineer, but I found the real reward for me came from helping others to understand why and how things worked, so I made the transition into teaching. Ten years later I’m still here, and happy with my choice.
I have spent much of the past ten years teaching in the UK working across a variety of schools, from small, community-based schools to large academies. The year previous to my appointment I spent working at a top international school in Bahrain, but I was drawn to NAIS Manila by the welcoming and inclusive spirit of the staff team here and the prospect of living in such a beautiful and rich environment as Manila.
Central to my teaching ethos is a strong belief in setting the example and I always try and emulate that in my style of teaching, to create a community within the classroom where helping each other is at the core of it. I bring with me a wealth of experience from both industry and education, and I very much look forward to unlocking the potential of the brilliant young minds of the Philippines.
