Laura holds an MSc in Psychology of Learning Science from LMU in Munich and a PGDE in Biology and a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield. She has been teaching since 2015 in several schools around the UK and Asia.
I have taught science at all levels from pre-school through to A-Level in many different types of schools around the UK and Asia. I like to engage students through practical activities that bring scientific theories to life. My time in developing schools has taught me to be resourceful and creative with my lesson planning. This underpinned the research I undertook during my PGDE, which explored the intersection between science and the arts. I am passionate about establishing a positive and inclusive classroom environment, in which the well-being of students is forefront of their education.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and developing new vegan recipes. Additionally, I have recently extended my yoga practice to include dance and acrobatics. I’m looking forward to having more time to explore Manila and the Philippines.
