Summer Recital

It had been almost two and half years since students took to the stage to perform to a real audience, and although the music department, students and parents adapted effectively using online conferencing to the challenges posed by the recent heath pandemic the sense of relief and excitement the ensued on Thursday 2nd June was clearly evident.

We are very lucky to have such depth of musical talent at the upper campus and this event aimed to show off some of our most accomplished musicians from Year 5 to Year 13.  MC’d admirably by Year 12 students Nikita and Egor the audience were taken on a musical journey incorporating music from the classical greats to Jazz and even tango.  As our annual teachers concert has also been absent for the previous two years we took the opportunity to incorporate performances from the music team as well. There was even time for a very special performance from former ISM student Linh who is currently studying at Berkelee College of Music in Boston, USA.

The music department would also like to thank very much the support of the administration, marketing, facilities, Audio/Visual and IT teams for making the event a huge success.

Looking forward very much to the return of more live concerts in the academic year 2022-23.
