Lowri Cooper

Lowri Cooper

Secondary School French Teacher, Form Tutor 8LC

Lowri studied French and Italian at the University of Manchester with a year abroad in Lyon and Palermo. Afterwards she completed her PGCE via the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, also at the University of Manchester.

Prior to Dover Court, Lowri taught at Oasis Academy Oldham for two years. In her NQT year, she began leading the Gifted and Talented provision in her school. Her favourite part was organising the extracurricular activities, in particular the Challenge Weekends for years 7 and 8 where students were given a city, a list of challenges, and a budget to develop their real world problem-solving skills. Her new role developed her love for seeing students make progress outside of the classroom as well as inside!

Outside of school, Lowri is currently learning Spanish and conversational Mandarin. She enjoys cycling, reading and travel.
