A student-led organisation comprised of representatives from Key Stage 1 to Sixth Form. Their goal is to maintain positive change throughout the school community.
The Primary Student Council runs from Year 1 upwards. Students are chosen by their peers and have an opportunity to take part in meetings where they can make suggestions and help bring about positive changes in the Primary School.
The aim of the Secondary Student Council is to achieve a wide-spread deep involvement for as many students as possible. The model involves two key elements. Firstly, we have class councils where each class meet, follow an agenda and record minutes. The second element is the Student Council, consisting of several under-committees. Students are able to apply for additional roles to ensure the work needed to ensure change can take place. These committees work on key projects and report their progress back to students, the Senior Leadership Team and the school community.
The Head Students at Dover Court are instrumental in leading the Student Council and making sure the student voice is heard.
