Setting off to Binh Trieu School on Wednesday afternoon, teachers were able to experience some of the feelings of nervousness and excitement that the children have as they begin their community project. As soon as they arrived and met the students a sense of fun took over, and for an hour the teachers and children alike enjoyed creating jewellery and play dough models to take home, and playing music games or chasing around under the parachute.
Community projects are designed to challenge us; to put us in a situation that we are not used to so that we can grow and develop both as people and in our understanding and respect of the situation of others. But they are also designed for everyone to have fun, and there was definitely lots of fun going on here!
