Personally, I am so pleased to have become part of it myself this year. Without doubt, it is a great experience for me in a wonderful school. For our youngest students, a new chapter in their BIS journey has begun in our new Early Years and Infant Campus which formally opened on Monday. I have been so impressed with how all our Fundinotots, F3 and Y1 students along with the staff and parents, have adapted to their new environment. Equally, I am thrilled with how the students and staff from TX have adapted to life on the Junior Campus. It is a credit to everyone involved and I am extremely pleased to see this particular journey off to such a great start. Next week, we look forward to our F1 and F2 students moving to the EY&IC and Y2 from TX moving to the Junior campus.
We have also been highlighting the individual stories of last year’s IBDP student cohort as they tell their personal success stories. Being on the BIS journey does, indeed, produce outstanding students who leave the school well prepared and ready to face the challenges of university and life in general. In preparing our students to become well rounded adults, an important part of the BIS journey is to experience the annual residential trips. Last week the majority of our Secondary students spent time away from school and home with their teachers and peers. They went to various locations in Vietnam, Hong Kong and the Philippines and, from these trips, many BIS stories and experiences will become a part of a student’s lifelong memories. The BIS HCMC story goes on and on and I hope, that as members of our community, you enjoy being a part of it as much as I do.
I do hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
