F2 & F3 Sports Day

09 March 2018

On Wednesday all of our F2 and F3 children took part in Sports Day. Each class moved around the carousel of activities including Zigzag Relay, Hurdles Challenge, Sack Race Relay, Obstacle Relay and Sprints. Our F3 children also had a Sponge Relay that they loved.

Physical development is one of the three prime areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Sports Day provides a great opportunity for the children to show how they have progressed in this area. As well as all the learning, Sports Day is a lot of fun. When Jayden (F3) was asked which was his favourite part, he answered, “All of it!”

The hour was action packed and everyone had a fantastic day participating in new activities. Our Year 6 helpers were amazing and came to help by demonstrating each activity and encouraging the younger children to have a go. They then presented effort ribbons to the children that were well deserved. It was great to see all children trying their best and having fun. The crowd of supporters, cheering the children on and applauding the winners made the day even more memorable.  Thank you to our families for helping us enjoy the day.

A special thank you goes to Mr Richard and Ms Yen for organising the day and everyone who came to cheer us on.
