Victoria Fethke led the group of 9 Year 12 students who planned the rounds, wrote the questions and procured the resources and refreshments for the morning. They also managed to persuade another 30 volunteers from Years 12 and 10 to help ensure the competition ran smoothly. In total, nearly 70 Year 7 and 8 students from 7 schools competed over 4 rounds which were a challenging mix of logic, problem solving, engineering and creativity.

BIS HCMC entered 3 teams of 4 students and everyone gave their best. Team BIS B (Jithendra Kasibhatla, Jane Chang, Kanghyun Park and Man Nghi Trinh) performed especially well and managed to come 2nd in the Team Round and 3rd in the Engineering Round earning themselves 2nd place overall. Of particular note, Minwook Kim of Year 7 came 1st in the Individual Round winning himself a special glass trophy.

A huge thank you to everyone involved including the Mathematics department for their time and support. We hope to see you there next year!
