Following Ms Astley’s recent visit to The Juilliard School in New York this week it was the turn of the Juilliard School to visit BIS HCMC. The Secondary Drama team were very excited to welcome Stephanie Cunningham, Juilliard Drama Specialist, to meet with our teachers, explore the Drama department and meet with BIS students, who were keen to show off the power of the Arts at BIS.
After the visit it was clear that Stephanie was already building great relationships as a basis for her future work across the school. She is contemporary, engaged, progressive and offers our staff and students both inspiration and coaching. As you would expect Stephanie is passionate about the Juilliard approach but is also able to offer the challenge and ideas to our Drama team to take performance to an even higher level (!) at BIS. Stephanie recognises the strength of the Drama programme here and we are all excited about how we will begin integrating the Juilliard Core Works into our current work.
