This week, all the F2 units shared a lovely end of year celebration with their friends, teachers and families. The focus was all on our children who took the lead starting from the preparations. With some support from their teachers, the children chose which songs to perform, created the headbands that they would wear, and prepared the snacks to be served to their parents. The songs chosen were a reflection of our children’s learning, particularly in ‘Talk 4 Writing’. It was amazing to see how well they sang the words and how confident they were in performing the actions in front of an audience.
Some of the children also enjoyed preparing the biscuits and cookies served. With our ELC’s equipped with proper kitchen facilities, the children have been engaging in cooking opportunities that they are always excited about. In the process of baking, the children consolidate concepts of counting, measuring, different textures, and different tastes.
A big thank you to our parents and carers who came to celebrate, and also to our wonderful Teaching Assistants who have always been so dedicated in guiding and helping our children!
