“Once again, I am extremely pleased to recognise the outstanding IBDP results that the ‘Class of 2018’ has achieved. I am so honoured to be the Principal of a school that shows so much ambition and perseverance to achieve this consistent level of success. I sincerely applaud the hard work and dedication of our students along with the support given to them by our excellent staff. Our parents will be very proud and deservedly so, as they have played such a pivotal role in their child’s success. BIS HCMC goes from strength to strength and it is all down to the wonderful people that make up our vibrant community.” Anthony Rowlands, Principal of British International School, HCMC said.
- Our students' average score in the IB Diploma was 36.4, significantly ahead of the 2017/18 global average of 29.78 points.
- 23.9 % of our students achieved 40 points and above. This is the level of attainment required to gain admission to the world's elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.
- We are delighted to announce that once again we achieved a 100% pass rate.
- Our highest score amongst this year’s cohort is 45 points. This is an incredible achievement equalled by only 0.2% of students worldwide.
Andy Puttock, Education Director of Nord Anglia Education, said, “I am delighted by the outstanding IB diploma results achieved by our students this year. This excellent outcome is not only due to their efforts but also the incredible hard work put in by the school’s teachers throughout the year to ensure our children experience the best in learning.”
He added, “For eight consecutive years, students at Nord Anglia Education schools have exceeded the IB Diploma global average score, achieving a pass rate of 94% compared to the global average of 78.4% [in 2017]. This is a testament to our Be Ambitious philosophy, highlighting that there is no limit to what our students can achieve.”
