The benefits of making music together

This week saw the start of our co-curricular activities and instrumental lessons programme across the Junior and EY&I campuses. 

Participating in any musical activity contains a host of benefits for your child. For example, singing in a choir has been proven to enhance personal well-being and mental health. At BIS HCMC, we provide choral singing opportunities for all our students from Year 1 upwards, including a Community Choir for parents and teachers. Playing a musical instrument is also of great benefit in improving physical co-ordination, reading skills, problem-solving and time management. This is not to mention the benefits of social interaction in performing with an instrumental or vocal ensemble.
