BIS hits a high note with Juilliard

One of the benefits of the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme is the inspirational visits by Juilliard artists and Curriculum Specialists. Most recently we welcomed our Music Curriculum Specialist Paul Murphy who visited all three campuses to work with both the students and staff.

  • Juilliard Music - Paul Murphy

During his visit, Paul gave a series of demonstration lessons across the school focusing on using questioning techniques to explore the students’ creativity and imagination. Paul also worked with staff to explore how we could further extend the Juilliard approach into our already thriving ensemble and clubs provision over the coming months.

Juilliard Curriculum Specialists are experienced educators and artists who have expertise in The Juilliard Approach to Classroom Instruction, teacher collaboration and Juilliard Creative Classroom resources. With Paul’s support, the BIS Music programme continues to go from strength to strength and we look forward to his next visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

Paul's trip comes just a few weeks after we welcomed our Drama Curriculum Specialist Stephanie Cunningham and Juilliard Artist and violist Jessica Meyer.  Alongside our outstanding teachers, these visits bring excellence into our classrooms and ignite a love of the performing arts in our students.
