Year 6 Visit Minh Long Pottery

As part of the Vietnamese Culture curriculum, Year 6 visited the Minh Long pottery this week.

The children have been learning all about traditional Vietnamese pottery in class prior to the visit. They have looked at different designs and methods of painting and created their own design.

During the visit, the children had the opportunity to observe how pots are made, once they are made how they are painted, how they are baked in the kiln and to paint their own plate.

It was a great experience and we would like to thank all the TA’s responsible for organising the trip and Minh Long pottery for making us so welcome. We look forward to seeing our plates in a few days time.
