Last Friday we hosted a Teachers Day Potluck Lunch that, after months of Covid-19 distancing and isolation, finally brought together all Primary Teachers and BIS parents! There was no limit to the numbers who could attend and it was wonderful to see 100’s of Teachers and Parents enjoying the delicious food that BIS families had provided.
The focus of the event was to Thank ALL Primary Teachers, Teaching Assistants and staff for all their hard work and dedication to the BIS children and families. Parents were so generous with their donations and the teachers were truly spoilt with the array of delicious delicacies and treats, that had been cooked, baked and donated, by BIS families. The variety of food represented the wonderful international community of cultures here in BIS and it was all so tasty that there was barely anything left at the end!
The atmosphere was wonderful. Full of smiles, laughter, chatter and very full tummys! And I know every one I spoke to, whether parent or teacher, were just so thrilled that the BIS community were finally reunited. There was such a sense of joy and hope that we can start to organise many more gatherings as continue to remain a Covid free community.
This event will not be possible without the support of the parent community. Once again we would like to thank ALL the parents who donated food for the event. It would not happen without your kindness and generosity.
A special mention to parent volunteers who support the core PTG team; Rhiannon, Tuyen, Hong, Jessica, Synelle and Eric who Supported Pamela and Gayatri at EYIC, and Dina, Vivian, Dee and Anchal who supported Lily, Jana and Ai at Junior Campus.
In addition to parents we also received wonderful support from local business in the community wanting to show their appreciation and sponsor the event. So a huge Thank you also to all our sponsors displayed below.
