About the Department
The Business and Economics Department at BIS works collaboratively to support our staff to deliver enquiry-based lessons that build on conceptual understanding. At KS4, IGCSEs are delivered in both Business Studies and Economics. These provide a fundamental understanding of their subject area and also introduce students to the ways of learning we develop further at IBDP. Business Management and Economics are both taught at IBDP level where we aim to cultivate creative thinking, reflection and resilience in our students. The ethos of the Business and Economics Department is to support teachers and students to realise their potential. This is a thriving department in which our subjects are in high demand and student outcomes are outstanding.
