Year 2 Visit from Mr. Anthony

The children of Year 2 were invited to share their favourite holiday destinations through a show and tell opportunity this week. Their weekly homework was to find a significant object which represented a memory from a favourite holiday and be prepared to answer questions from their peers. To model this, our Principal Mr Anthony was invited to speak to the children about his favourite holiday destinations.

Y2 2

Mr Anthony delivered a wonderful presentation highlighting destinations and significant landmarks he visited, facts about the weather, food and cultures. The children were all very excited, engaged and captivated by the images. At the end of the presentation a dilemma was posed to the children. Where should Mr Anthony travel next? Antarctica, the UAE or the Amazon Rainforest.  The children were very excited to take up this challenge.

During IPC lessons, children will begin exploring these 3 destinations. They will be provided with a range of learning opportunities to apply their knowledge of the destinations. To consolidate this knowledge the children will produce a destination fact file which they will then be invited to share with Mr Anthony to help him make his decision.
