Dear Parents,

As we reach the end of Term 1, and I write my last message of 2020, it is with great pride that we can look back at the year that is coming to an end.

The character of our school community has been tested, as it has been revealed by the events of this year and we can take heart that we all played a part in how we have come through this year together.

From the move to online lessons, navigating the cancellation of public examinations, re-opening our school within Covid Guidelines, ensuring our new staff were here in Vietnam ready for the start of the year and so much more,   as a school community we’ve met the challenges thrown at us, and our students have had a great year, achieved great things across all areas of school life and had a lot of fun in the process. Thank you for your partnership in making this possible.

I leave you with some images of our first ever BIS Christmas Wonderland event and other activities that marked today’s end of term celebrations

I wish you all a happy and restful holiday and I look forward to seeing you in 2021.

My very best wishes

Sean O’Neill

Newsletter – Christmas cards to Québec!

Ms Gulinck’s and Mr Falconer’s Year 8 French students have been spreading Christmas cheer by writing cards for retirement home residents in Québec. After carefully planning and writing their messages in French, they designed some beautiful cards, which are already on their way to Canada! We hope that the cards and the messages of support will bring some festive joy to the residents during this challenging time. Well done to all of the Year 8 students involved!

End of term Assembly

When we began the academic year one of the goals that we set for ourselves was to re-establish, where required, and to continue as much as possible the fabric of BIS life and it has been wonderful to celebrate this last day of term with some simple traditions like the Christmas fair and the End of Term pantomime.
