Year 2 Transition

Over the last two weeks of the school year, children from all classes across the primary school will be thinking about their new classes and who their teachers will be.

  • Hello Y2
  • Hello Y2 2
  • Hello Y2 2 3

For our Year 6 and Year 2 children this involves the more significant change of not just a new classroom and teacher but also a new campus. To make sure that all the Year 2 children are ready to start a new chapter of their learning journeys on the Junior Campus, each class came over to visit and enjoy a treasure hunt challenge. Clues to all the locations the children will visit during their weekly timetable were hidden around the school and the experienced Year 3 children were on hand to guide their Y2 friends. All the children showed care and respect towards each other and worked well. It really was a pleasure to see the new Year 3s in action and I have no doubt that they will enjoy life here on the Junior Campus.

Next week the Year 2 children will have another opportunity to come over to the campus to work with their new teachers and the new Year 3 team. I would like to wish Ms Aziza, the new Year 3 Leader, and all the teachers every success next year. It has been both a pleasure and privilege to be involved with working alongside a fantastic team of teachers, students and parents.
