Primary Wellbeing Day 2020

On Friday 19th June 2020, everyone at the Early Years & Infant and Junior Campus took part in Wellbeing Day. From aerobics and mediation to mindful colouring and breathing exercises, we all reflected on what we need to look after our bodies and minds.

Here’s what some of the students and teachers thought:

“Wellbeing Day was the most relaxing day of school. I liked that we did some yoga because it was good to do some stretching. The Compliment Corner was really nice and attractive to all the students. They were very interested in it. The 5 Finger breathing was really good to practise because sometimes you need to remember to relax.”

Sophie, 2N

“The food tasted delicious, especially the chicken which was perfectly cooked and succulent. Additionally, the aerobics event that was set on the small field was super fun and entertaining. I enjoyed seeing Ms Emily’s unique, high knee dance moves! The part of the day that was most surprising was the meditation where we could sit down and fully relax. It felt like I was loose in space.”

Daniel, 5I

“Coming in to school wearing comfortable clothes and doing lots of wellbeing activities was just what we all needed! It was wonderful to see the children enjoy the whole school reading session, yoga and some funky dancing in the hall with the PE team. But by far my favourite part of the day was mindful colouring. I joined my class in the session and it was so relaxing! I was really proud of the pictures that everyone produced. I would all like to thank Ms Aziza, Ms Sacha and everyone who organised the day and we are all looking forward to the next one!”
