Classrooms and common areas have been busy and the playgrounds have been full of activity, however one of the biggest of welcomes I wanted to pass on is to our overseas student community. Along with us here on the two campuses, these students have already begun their academic year and have been busy engaging online with Ms Victoria and Ms Fiona. The work coming in through the Seesaw and Google Classrooms platforms has been of a really high standard and has kept our two teachers of the overseas classes extremely busy.
There have been live Google Meet sessions, recorded video activities and Seesaw or Google activities galore and I could not be more proud of the efforts these students have shown over the past week. The first 5 days have been spent getting to know our teachers, and the content given to them will increase even more over the next week as they get used to the Virtual Schooling Experience; something those returning students will know only too well after the lockdown months of February to March. A huge thank you to the parents of these students for helping them access the technology that is necessary when providing a world class online education – great job mums and dads!
Over the past two days, I have asked these students to send me a photo of themselves, wherever it is in the world they find themselves. It gives me great pleasure to introduce them to the rest of the wonderful BIS HCMC Community and I know you will all be with me in welcoming our new friends, as well as wishing them safe travels over the next few months as they make their way to Vietnam. Please click on the link here to say hi to our new students! We can’t wait to have each and every one of you with us soon!
