As they journey through the programme, we ensure that structured and purposeful service learning takes place which goes beyond just developing personal qualities. Through a wide range of experiences which include preparation and action together with reflection, our students actively experience learning outside the four walls of a classroom which impacts others and benefits our local community. Service learning is integrated into many of the curriculum’s core subject areas as well as throughout the co-curricular program on offer, ensuring that it is an integral part of learning with students directly and indirectly tackling various issues in our local community and beyond.
The school currently enjoys well established and close relationships with more than 30 diverse partners and will be hosting community children in 23 different club activities each week across all three campuses this term. In addition, an integral part of service learning is also facilitated through Year Group Projects with our students connecting in a reciprocal way with children from local Government schools such as Giong On To School, Nguyen Hien School and Huynh Van Ngoi School as they participate in shared learning activities.
