Primary PTG Newsletter - Friday 9th April

It has been a long time since our parent community could socialise at school, but finally yesterday saw more than 50 Primary parents come together with many Primary leadership team and staff, to enjoy coffee, great conversation and even some idea sharing for next year!

Today we welcomed new parents who joined earlier in the year, connected with familiar BIS faces and took the opportunity to share more about the Primary PTG in the hope of inspiring our invaluable parents to support us!

None of the PTG events or activities could happen without the wonderful support of parent volunteers, the Primary leadership team,  or BIS teachers, staff, marketing and and facilities team.

There really are SO MANY different ways that parents can support PTG initiatives; either as a core team member, part of a smaller events team, as a vendor, or even by bringing new ideas or past experiences to the team.

For 2021/22 the PTG focus will be on ‘Reconnecting our BIS community’ after a tough year of Covid related challenges.

We are planning to hold monthly ‘open PTG meetings’ where parents can drop in, ask questions, and share ideas.

We will be hosting monthly workshops with a variety of cultural, creative and educational themes! If you have ideas, requests or skills you could offer then pease get in touch!

Do you have an interest or passion that you could use to bring some of the BIS community together?? Some parents have shown interest in a book club, or parent led community sports clubs for kids…. would you be interested in running them?  If you have the passion and time to lead it, the PTG will support you to get it up and running!  We would LOVe to hear from you!

Are you a working parent? We would love to hear from you about how we can better connect with you all and whether evening or weekend events would be of interest? Would parents enjoy more evening social events? Do you have a venue you could offer? We would welcome your thoughts and ideas

If you have any questions, would like to learn more, or you have ideas to share then please get in touch with us at primaryptgbis@gmail.com an we can chat more!
