Primary students spread the message of kindness through the creative and meaningful Friendship Benches project

From 25th May to 27th May, St Andrews International School Bangkok proudly hosted the 2025 Nord Anglia SEA STEAM Festival. Students from across Southeast Asia came together for three inspiring days of creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. This year’s big question: “How can we reduce or repurpose school waste to create a lasting impact in our communities and environment?”
From cultural celebrations and hands-on STEAM challenges to expert talks and a final showcase of student-led projects, the festival was a true celebration of innovation and sustainability.

NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!

High School Design and Technology students step outside the classroom to explore design and architecture in Bangkok. Year 8 students visited a uniquely designed café precinct, where they learned from the architect of the precinct himself how thoughtful use of materials, geometry, and landscaping can transform spaces. Meanwhile, Year 12 IB students explored the fusion of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship and the use of natural materials at the impressive studio of renowned Thailand-based architect Patrick Keane.

Sports Day in Primary School is a joyful and exciting event that brings the school community together to celebrate movement, teamwork, and fun. With a wide range of activities—from egg and spoon races to shot put throws—students in Primary compete in House teams, cheered on by teachers, families, and friends. The day encourages physical activity, builds good sportsmanship, and creates lasting memories, making it one of the most special days of the school year.

We’re thrilled to share that St Andrews International School Bangkok has once again made a mark in the realm of music. In the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2025 competition, we had 9 students from our Primary School and High School securing a place or a winning entry. What a true testament this is to the exceptional musical skills and dedication of our students.

Year 11 students participate in a research project using the VEX CTE Workcell educational tool to show how automation works using robot arms, conveyor belts, and pneumatics on a mini assembly line, just like in real-world manufacturing facilities.

We’re happy to welcome STA Class of 2020 alumni Aashish and Taiyo back to campus for a casual meet and greet with current Year 13 students to discuss how their diverse experiences inside and outside the classroom prepared them for life beyond school.

On 25th April 2025, Year 7 First Language Japanese students with Mr Paul, Mr Roo, and Khun Noke from the Senior Leadership Team sowed seeds to plant new trees across campus, offering students a hands-on learning experience, fostering teamwork, and the importance of caring for nature.
