Year 6 and Year 7 students showcased their creativity at this year's STA Poetry Slam, exploring the theme ‘Maths is Everywhere.’ Congratulations to Lily (Year 7), Hana (Year 6), and Emerson (Year 6) for their exceptional performances, with Lily taking First Place for her poem ‘The Infinite Equation.’ Well done to all participants for making this event such a remarkable success!

Celebrating dance at St Andrews Bangkok, a full day organised for Primary and High School (Year 3 to Year 13) students interested in joining dance masterclasses and workshops led by professional dance artists in Bangkok. 

We proudly announce that Kate S, one of our exceptional Year 13 students, has been selected to join the prestigious Nord Anglia Student Advisory Board as part of the Social Impact Programme. In this role, Kate will collaborate with other student leaders worldwide to evaluate and allocate grants for impactful social initiatives. Her dedication to driving positive change inspires us all, and we look forward to seeing the incredible contributions she will make both at St Andrews Bangkok and within the global Nord Anglia community!

In October, our High School celebrated Black History Month with a series of enriching activities that highlighted the achievements and culture of Black artists. Our Art Department’s album cover project allowed students to showcase their creativity by designing covers for Black musicians, with top entries earning a visit to the Gustav Klimt immersive exhibition. The month also featured a “Celebration of Black Arts” event, hip-hop performances, and a special Afrobeats dance performance at our High School International Day, led by Year 12 students as part of their CAS project, "Heritage and Hope," to promote year-round awareness of Black History.

With the goal of providing meaningful help to the flood victims in the northern regions of Thailand, our entire community at St Andrews Bangkok came together to raise funds and donations for the affected families. In the span of a few short weeks, added to donations of food and clothing, we managed to raise an astounding total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds. To all students, teachers, parents, and staff who participated in our efforts and contributed to this cause—thank you!

St Andrews Bangkok proudly hosted the VEX Robotics VIQRC Rapid Relay Tournament, bringing together 56 teams from across Thailand for an exciting day of teamwork and coding challenges. Our student volunteers and staff helped make the event a success, with St Andrews teams achieving impressive results, including a Middle School division win. We look forward to welcoming 100 teams from 13 countries for the upcoming world-qualifying tournament on 23-24 November.

STA alumni Famous and Enya from the Class of 2022 recently visited our High School, sharing their experiences and insights into the BAScii program at Chulalongkorn University’s School of Integrated Innovation. Their stories captivated students, offering inspiration and guidance on the exciting paths available through this innovative program. This is another proud moment for our school as STA graduates continue to excel and support our community.

Last Friday, the STA Primary campus was transformed into a celebration of all things maths! The day was packed with engaging, hands-on activities across all year groups, making maths truly come alive for our students.

Senior student at St Andrews Bangkok, Pun (Year 13), devises an innovative solution for effective waste management. Recently, he completed an ambitious project: an AI-powered waste sorting system. After much research and testing, he got the system to work and put the model to use in one of our rooms at school!

Physics students from St Andrews Bangkok made quite an impression at the Beamline for Schools (BL4S) competition and won the Best Outreach Award for their brilliant work. BL4S is a prestigious global physics contest organised by CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland) and DESY (the German Electron Synchrotron in Hamburg, Germany), inviting High School students worldwide to propose detailed experiments to be conducted at a particle accelerator beamline. While our students did not win the main prize of conducting their experiment in Geneva, they still stood out and were recognised from an entry of over 400 teams.

A special thanks to Mr Andrew, Mr Dan, Mr Hugh, and Mr Sean, whose efforts in mascot costumes helped raise 21,100 THB. St Andrews International School Bangkok's International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) and BTEC students recently completed a week of work experience in various companies in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and as far as in Penang, Malaysia. This unique, exciting opportunity allowed the students to step out of their comfort zones and gain direct feedback from a professional environment in the real world.

Throughout this past academic year, the Year 10 Business students at St Andrews International School Bangkok learnt plenty in their course. To conclude the year, they had the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice at the annual STA Business Fair. At the end of each academic year at St Andrews International School Bangkok, our teachers and staff collect unused stationery items across classrooms and departments. These materials, including pencils, glue, scissors, books, and even clothes, are donated to the Baan Nokkamin Foundation, which supports underprivileged children in the suburbs of Bangkok. This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability by minimising waste and promoting a culture of kindness and social responsibility.

This year, we are excited to welcome our largest-ever Year 12 cohort at St Andrews Bangkok! A total of 172 enthusiastic students have embarked on their Senior Studies pathways, which include a diverse range of academic options: the IB Diploma Programme, IB Career-related Programme, IB Courses, and BTEC. To kick off this exciting journey, we held the Year 12 Induction—a day filled with reflection and team-building activities to help lay the groundwork for a successful and fulfilling two years ahead.
