9th Grade
Students will be able to talk about everyday activities in the present and the past tense, and understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to: daily routine, experiences on the past, making comparisons, talk about shopping, employment, etc. They would be able to communicate with others about simple routine tasks by responding with simple and complex sentence. Understand the culture difference and traditions of Hispanic countries.
10th Grade
Students will be able to understand the main points of familiar matters. They will be able to express opinions about the future and respond to complex questions. Students will extend their knowledge of verb tense to combine them and make meaningful conversations. Written and oral presentations will be more advanced to express ideas, opinions or feelings. Study Hispanic countries through costumes, music and art.
11th Grade
Most students will enter the first year of an International Baccalaureate language class. Students will be able understand recorded and spoken information on different topics. They will write text related to social relations, global issues, and forms of communication related to everyday language. They will be able to communicate orally to explain a point of view and describe with details and accuracy.
