VSPA’s Initiatives

OUR WORK

Below are just some of VSPA’s initiatives. Throughout the year, more information about these, and other activities, will appear in Parent Square, on our Facebook page, and in VSPA NEWS.
Used Uniform Store

VSPA'S Used Uniform Store is now open every Wednesday from 8:00 - 9:00 AM. Zelle and Credit Cards are accepted. For any questions,  kindly email: useduniform@thevillageschool.com

Donations are always welcome and can be dropped off at your respective divisions.

Celebratory Greetings on the Lawn

It's a thrill to see your name in giant letters on your school front lawn -- especially when it's your birthday! The fee is only $50 and proceeds benefit VSPA programing. Click Here  to find the form and then just return it with payment to your division receptionist or Administrative Assistant.

Purchasing Extras for the School

One of VSPA’s missions is to provide "extras” for the school community--items that benefit as many students as possible, given the spectrum of needs represented in the student body. The following are some ways that VSPA has provided financial support throughout the years:

  • Scoreboard for the football field
  • Drone and camera for all divisions to use
  • Support for Middle School Math and Science Team’s trip to the State Tournament
  • Funding for the High School Band’s invitation to play in Washington, DC
  • Partial funding of the new Middle School Playground
  • Funding for the blue blocks on the Elementary School playground
  • Viking helmet inflatable and sports team tunnel for school spirit at games
The Jeff Boyd Excellence in Geometry Award

Jeff Boyd retired several years ago after teaching at Village for six years. He coached the Math and Science Team, Mathcounts Team, and taught Geometry. He was an incredible teacher who was loved by his students.  After his passing, VSPA established this award to honor what Mr. Boyd valued most: hard work, a positive attitude, and a love of math.  In honor of this beloved teacher, VSPA presents a trophy to an 8th grade recipient at their promotion ceremony.  A commemorative plaque hangs in the Middle School lobby with the list of recipients.
