September 23, 2016 (Budapest, Hungary) -- The British International School, Budapest  celebrated the opening of its newly renovated and expanded campus. An additional 3000 m2 has been added to the existing 6000 m2  campus with a new secondary wing to accommodate the growing school. THE BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, BUDAPEST CELEBRATES OPENING CEREMONY OF EXPANDED CAMPUS

 

September 23, 2016 (Budapest, Hungary) -- The British International School, Budapest announced today the opening of its newly renovated and expanded campus. An additional 3000 m2 has been added to the existing 6000 mcampus with a new secondary wing to accommodate the growing school. These new facilities make The British International School, Budapest one of the most modern and advanced schools in the capital.


The expanded facilities have added an extra 326 places taking the total capacity up to 1050 places. The new wing provides 24 new classrooms, a new library and Sixth Form Centre. Furthermore, an information, technology and communications room, coding room, two additional state-of-the-art science laboratories, and an art, design and technology centre will facilitate the school’s future collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths). Several music practice rooms have also been added to complement the school’s new performing arts collaboration with The Juilliard School. The school has also added a modern and spacious reception area with an easily accessible admissions office and a parent coffee shop.

In addition, many of the primary classrooms in the current building have been renovated so that younger students can benefit from the campus upgrades. The school will also have a new modern indoor sports hall along with an outside pitch added to the existing sports facilities which will be completed by the spring of 2017.
