Our students made impressive preparations for the conference which debated ways to “encourage international support for the youth in building sustainable and resilient urban and rural communities”. The conference was introduced by Mr. David J. Kostelancik, Chargé d'Affaires at the United States Embassy in Hungary, who gave delegates fantastic insight into international diplomacy from his years of service in the US Diplomatic Service. Our students spoke impressively, respectfully and above all, diplomatically to put forward the views of their assigned countries in what was for many their first experience of an MUN conference. Through an integration of personal responsibility, determination and application of their education in the Humanities they enthusiastically declared that they hope that this is the first of many MUN conferences that they attend.
MUN club is run by Mr. Gibson and Ms. Arora on Thursdays from 15:45-16:45 and is open to students from Year 9 to 13.
Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
