Girls' U14 Football
Last Saturday, TEAM BISB travelled to the American International School Budapest (AISB) full of excitement and nerves. Excitement for those girls who regularly play football and nerves for the younger girls that were taking part for the first time. Our first game was against AISB and we really wanted to get off on a good foot. What happened in this game went beyond expectations with a 6-2 win! What was even better was that every girl was involved in the match. Next we played the International Christian School Budapest: a team we have met on many occasions and have noticed that every time we play them, they are stronger. This second game was another successful 3-0 win. Our third and final match was exciting. It was our first eleven a-side of the year against the American International School Vienna and we had a good fight on our hands but again we won 2-1. This sets us up beautifully for the upcoming DVAC tournaments and our annual Nord Anglia tournament in the spring. Another big plus on Saturday was that we attracted a large following of parent supporters. A big thank you to all parents for your ongoing support. The future looks exceedingly bright as our Year 7 girls were more than a match for the other schools!

Boys’ U14 Football
In preparation for the upcoming DVAC season, the Boys’ U14 Football team had their first competitive fixtures last Saturday at AISB. For many, it was their first experience of 11-a-side Football. Alongside a comfortable victory against the International Christian School, the boys played some fantastic football in two closely contested matches against the American International Schools from Budapest and Vienna. The team will return to AISB this weekend for the DVAC Festival before contesting the season ending DVAC tournament in Vienna on Saturday 10th November.
