The Early Years 2 children visited the Erkel Theatre this week as part of their ongoing interest in movement, dance and performance. They each received a ticket to enter and enjoyed a backstage tour.

The Early Years 2 children visited the Erkel Theatre this week as part of their ongoing interest in movement, dance and performance. They each received a ticket to enter and enjoyed a backstage tour.
The children watched a ballet rehearsal and explored the orchestra pit. They learned about the role of a conductor and how dancers exercise and stretch their bodies ready for the show. Towards the end of the tour the children were given the opportunity to try on some of the costumes from the productions and also take part in some ballet instruction.
Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
Year 9 have been showing their green fingers/thumbs by trying to germinate cress seeds under various conditions, to see what is important for the seed growth.
There was more basketball on Saturday. This time our U14 Girls A and B teams had their DVAC Festival here at BISB.
