Excitement has been building over the past couple of weeks as we headed towards the Primary Performance Poetry Competition. Each child in Primary had the opportunity to learn a poem to perform to their class. Semi-finals were held in year groups and the final was held in the wonderful venue of our theatre on Tuesday morning. The finalists performed to an enraptured Primary school audience and a panel of judges comprised of Bridget Lindsay from the British Embassy, Mr Bird and Ms Miah from Secondary as well as Mr Payn from Primary. The quality of the performances was extremely high and the judges had difficult decisions to make. The winners were: Ruixi Wang for the Year 1-3 category, with Lucy McDonald as runner-up. The Year 4-6 category was won by Sharon Kim, with Teo Ronaszeki as runner-up. All of the participants were congratulated for their fantastic performances.
Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
